Friends,
In this episode, my husband, Steve Silva, and I delve into the emotional journey of losing a long-standing friendship following the recent election. As we discuss the power and liberation that forgiveness provides, we explore ways to bridge the political divide, especially during the holidays. We share insights on managing emotions and setting boundaries while emphasizing the importance of self-giving and understanding.
We introduce Pope St. John Paul II's 'The Law of the Gift' and how it embodies the essence of selflessness and share how our brains are wired for community.
If you or someone you know struggles with forgiveness, consider buying my '5 Days to Forgiveness' self-guided audio retreat, available at www.drcarron.com at a special holiday price. Together, let’s explore how forgiveness can renew relationships and bring peace into our hearts and homes.

S1E54 Birth Trauma Recovery & Forgiveness with Brigid Tebaldi
Tuesday Dec 10, 2024
Tuesday Dec 10, 2024
Friends,
*Content warning* In today's episode, Birth Trauma Recovery Coach Brigid Tebaldi and I discuss obstetric violence and the trauma some women experience when giving birth. This topic is not for minor ears and could be triggering for those who have suffered infertility or traumatic births. Please use discretion when listening.
If like me, you’ve never even heard these terms before, it's worth a listen. This information is valuable for both men and women, because you know what? It takes two to tango and two to heal together from the trauma that might have been inflicted.
It may not strike us as anything to be concerned about, but obstetric violence is more common than we think and most women who experience it don't speak up or blame themselves for what happened to them. It's time to lift the veil on birth trauma and obstetric violence, and my guest today does that with much grace.

Special Edition! You're Invited: Uncover Your Forgiveness Habits Workshop
Thursday Nov 07, 2024
Thursday Nov 07, 2024
Friend,
In this special edition, I invite you to a brand new workshop I created called Uncover Your Forgiveness Habits.
I wonder if you resonate with any of these:
- You were, at some point, forced to say you were sorry as a child when you didn’t actually mean it.
- A caregiver may have punished you for an infraction you were accused of without hearing your side of the story and made you apologize.
- You saw people in your life say, “It’s OK” but hide their resentment.
- The offended party might have brushed off the incident but then gossiped about the offender afterwards.
- Adults in your life gave each other the silent treatment and never truly resolved conflicts.
- You might have sensed that something was off or distance between your caregivers.
- You held yourself accountable for something that wasn’t actually your fault.
- We are often taught that children are supposed to be seen and not heard, and it’s easy for us to internalize shame and blame that does not belong to us.
If you answered yes to one or more of these, the Uncover Your Forgiveness Habits Workshop is for you.

S1E49 Healing Our Parts: Internal Family Systems Therapy with Claire Schiemer
Tuesday Nov 05, 2024
Tuesday Nov 05, 2024
Friends,
In this episode, I sit down with Licensed Therapist and Coach Claire Schiemer to discuss the transformative power of Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. As an advocate for integrating spirituality into healing, Claire shares her journey and expertise in using IFS to help clients navigate trauma and find forgiveness.
Claire explains the fundamentals of IFS, highlighting how it views symptoms as parts of ourselves that need compassion and integration, rather than problems to be fixed. By understanding and addressing these parts, individuals can achieve deeper healing. The conversation also explores the profound connection between IFS and Christian principles, emphasizing the core self as an embodiment of God's image and grace.
Whether you're struggling with past traumas or seeking to improve your relationships, this episode offers valuable insights and practical advice for harnessing the power of IFS to foster forgiveness and personal growth. Tune in to discover how you can begin your journey toward wholeness and self-compassion.
