Friends,
My guest in this episode, Audye Gonzalez grew up in a small town, the daughter of divorced parents, raised by a mother whose love came with conditions she spent years trying to name. Today she's the creator of the "Still Stuck" workbook, and she's spent her career helping adult daughters of narcissistic mothers recognize the five trauma patterns that keep showing up in relationships, and everyday life.
In this conversation, Audye and I talk about what it's like to grow up as the child who adapts instead of the child who's allowed to just be. We get into the specific moment she realized her marriage was echoing her childhood, the first boundary she ever set and what it cost her, and why she still doesn't have a clean answer on forgiveness.
If you've ever wondered why certain relationships feel like you're back in an old role you thought you'd outgrown, this one's for you.

Friends,
In this episode, founder of You Are Made New Ministry, De Yarrison, a uniquely Catholic healing ministry for men and women survivors of domestic abuse, betrayal trauma, and addiction shares how she first heard her calling in an unexpected place: surrounded by more than a thousand teenagers in stillness before God at a youth conference. That moment set her on a path to develop a ministry that combines inner healing prayer with Gestalt therapeutic techniques to help survivors heal and rebuild.
We talk about:
- How De's ministry blends Catholic spirituality with clinical Gestalt therapy techniques
- What inner healing prayer looks like in practice
- How survivors of betrayal trauma and addiction can begin their healing journey
- Why stillness before God is essential to hearing your unique calling

Hello Forgiver,
In this episode, I sit down with Jane Snyder, affectionately known as Mama Jane, founder of Wisdom Wellness Coaching and host of the Cycles and Sanctity podcast. As a Catholic Womanhood Coach, fertility educator, and certified mindset coach, Jane helps women rediscover the wisdom of their reproductive health while uncovering the beliefs and emotions that shape their relationship with their bodies.
We explore how body shame often grows from unrealistic cultural expectations, painful life experiences, and misunderstandings about our feminine design. More importantly, we discuss how forgiveness can become a powerful pathway toward healing, because resentment, disappointment, and self-rejection keep us from living in the freedom God desires for us.

Friend,
Have you ever watched someone you love go through a painful betrayal or heartbreak and felt totally helpless? We want so badly to help our friends and family heal, but well-meaning advice like "you just need to let it go" or "holding onto bitterness only hurts you" can actually do more harm than good.
In this episode, we tackle the tricky question of how to walk alongside someone in deep pain without rushing them before they are ready, without pushing for unsafe reconciliation, and without experiencing compassion fatigue ourselves.
As a Certified Catholic Mindset Coach, I see firsthand the incredible breakthroughs that happen when we simply offer a gentle, loving presence with no strings attached. Forgiveness cannot be forced or manipulated.

Friends,
Healing trauma often happens in layers.
Just when we think we've worked through the pain, another memory, emotion, or grief surfaces, inviting us into deeper healing. In this Summer Rewind episode, I share the story of the man who became my primary father figure during childhood, my Uncle Isaac.
As I continue my own healing journey through somatic practices and grief work, I've been reflecting on the profound impact one loving adult can have on a child's life. Though trauma leaves lasting wounds, research consistently shows that one safe, caring adult can help foster resilience and create a foundation for healing.
Whether you're recovering from childhood trauma, grieving a significant loss, or reflecting on the people who shaped your life, this episode offers hope and encouragement.
Reflection Question
Who was the one safe adult who made a difference in your life?

Friend,
We all have dreams, but sometimes our dream isn’t what God had in mind when He created us.
In this Summer Rewind of S1E14, my guest, Monica Herber, shared her dream of starting a family, but when that dream was dashed because of infertility, she and her husband decided to adopt. They fell in love with their beautiful little boy, but after multiple diagnoses, their dream of a healthy child was dashed.
Monica shares her heartbreak and how God taught her how to be joyful in the unknown.

Friends,
Healing is not all gloom and doom.
When we've been deeply hurt, betrayed, or disappointed, it can feel as though suffering has taken over every corner of our lives. Yet even in our darkest seasons, moments of joy remain available to us. The challenge is learning how to recognize and receive them.
As part of this Summer Rewind series, I'm revisiting one of my favorite short episodes. In this conversation, I explore how we can become more receptive to joy in the midst of suffering and how our own wounds can become a source of compassion, wisdom, and hope for others.
Drawing on insights from Fr. Robert Spitzer's book, Finding True Happiness, I discuss the four levels of happiness and how a deeper understanding of joy can transform the way we navigate hardship.
You'll also learn my simple three-step practice for cultivating receptivity to joy:
- Stop – Pause long enough to notice what is happening within and around you.
- Drop – Release your resistance to the present moment.
- Rock & Roll – Lean into life, gratitude, and meaningful action.
Suffering and joy are not mutually exclusive. We can grieve and still be grateful. We can carry pain and still experience beauty. We can be healing and still encounter moments of genuine happiness.
Reflection Question
Where are the pockets of joy that God is offering you today, even in the midst of your pain?

Friends,
In this Summer Rewind episode, I'm bringing back my conversation with Fr. Thomas Berg, originally released as Choosing Forgiveness. Together, we explore one of the most challenging aspects of the Christian life: what happens when guilt lingers long after we've sought forgiveness.
Many of us understand God's mercy intellectually, yet continue carrying shame, self-condemnation, and regret. Fr. Thomas offers profound insights into the relationship between forgiveness, guilt, freedom, and God's healing grace.
Drawing from Scripture, spiritual wisdom, and practical experience, this conversation invites us to reflect on Jesus' call to reconciliation and consider how forgiveness can transform not only our relationships with others, but also our relationship with ourselves.
Reflection Question
If God has already forgiven you, what keeps you from receiving that forgiveness fully?
